Beginner Arena

You just learned shogi and want to find a human player to play with instead of the Lishogi bot. Or you already knew how to play but couldn’t improve because you can’t find anyone at your level. Then this arena is just for you. Here, we aim to create a place where beginners can meet and play against each other. So come join us. This arena is held every other week and across two time zones:

• 18:00 – 20:00 UTC on Saturday
• 03:00 – 05:00 UTC on Sunday

Arena to Shodan

This Arena has a maximum rank of Shodan (1-dan) on Lishogi.org and aims to create a safe and exciting environment to practice with other similarly-ranked players within a lightly competitive environment. The event is held every other week and can be found in two places:
